I am a 15 year old girl, from the UK with a dream to go to New York City.. Now, here's my story.
I find it hard to believe myself, but this time last year I had no desire to go to New York.. At all. In fact, I would have even passed on the opportunity, and stayed at home... But now, it's a whole different story, i'd do anything to go to New York.. Hence why I am making this blog.
So, you're probably wondering what changed my mind... Believe it or not, one person changed it all.
Take this as you wish, but my mother, met a woman on an online forum for a facebook game...... Yes, it sounded strange to me at first too.... I ran through all the safety procedures with my mum.. It really felt like we had reversed roles! But, after a year of emailing, and skyping, this woman, came to visit. That visit turned out to be the best week of my life. She is now one of the most important people to me, and I'd do anything for her. She is just that bit older than my mum... And my mum is 35. She is just like an auntie to me.
Unfortunately, she lives in New York.. And we are struggling financially which means we will struggle to go over and visit her.. That is why I am creating this blog to document my efforts to get money to fund the visit!
And, if I am lucky, and I do get to go (along with my mother, and brother of course) I will post a diary of my visit, along with pictures, right here on my blog!
So.. here are some ways I am going to try and get money.
First, I will be installing Google Adsense onto my blog, and since they provide relevant ads, i'm sure the ads will be about flying, travelling, New York city.. Or linked to anything else I write about on here.. So, if you do have a spare second and want to help me out, just click on a link and check it out.. It won't take long, the extra few pennies are highly appreciated! As Tesco says... Every little helps.
I also enter a competition every day called Daily Pounds.... although my mum has to enter on my behalf, since I am too young.. So, we do it together really. So far, I have 220 points... Once I hit the 600 mark, I can redeem the points for £10.. Though, this takes quite a while.
I also enter (or my mum enters) Bananalotto, which is similar in the sense you win points and can redeem them for prizes.
I haven't been able to think of anything else to this point... Except selling things on Ebay, although we have nothing to sell.
Please, feel free to give me any suggestions! Also, follow me on Blogger, and I will keep you updated as to how my New York mission is coming along.

P.S, LG stands for little goober... my adopted auntie (the woman that lives in NY) gave me this nickname. This blog is in her honour.
